The process begins with an initial consultation where a representative from KC Interior Design meets with the client to discuss their project requirements, goals, and vision.
The design team conducts a thorough assessment of the space, confirm detailed measurements, capture photographs, and gathering any relevant architectural drawings or floor plans.
Based on the client's preferences and the information gathered, we create preliminary concepts and revised space plans, which will be developed into full specification packages.
KCID presents the design packages and gets approval for purchasing. Here is where we turn ideas into orders. Throughout this process, we utilize multiple programs for visual aids.

Interior Designer
Becca’s passion for design is deeply rooted in her Southern California upbringing and a lifelong connection to nature and culture. Her early travels across Europe, including a month-long pilgrimage walking 250 miles with her husband and daughters, shaped her appreciation for how spaces tell stories and connect people to their environments. With a degree in Literature & Creative Writing from UCSD and a standout education in Interior Design from San Diego Mesa College, Becca has an eye for crafting spaces that beautifully blend functionality and personal narrative.
KITCHY CROUSE
Owner & Design Principal
Kitchy Crouse, an award-winning interior designer based in Southern California, specializes in high-end home renovations and remodels, blending craftsmanship and functionality. Originally from Brazil, she brings a unique background in hospitality and project management to her design work. Kitchy’s projects, recognized for attention to detail and customer focus, have earned accolades like San Diego Home & Garden’s Kitchen of the Year and features on HGTV and Houzz. An active member of the National Kitchen and Bath Association, she is proficient in virtual design tools and oversees every aspect of her projects to create personalized, exceptional spaces.

Melissa’s lifelong love for art, travel, and history infuses her design approach with creativity and depth. Growing up in San Diego, she was drawn to the transformative power of color, texture, and form—an instinct she honed into a talent for creating spaces that feel uniquely personal. Inspired by nature, music, and global cultures, Melissa delights in helping clients discover new possibilities, turning their visions into meaningful, artful designs. When she’s not designing, you’ll find her hiking, dancing, or dreaming up her next adventure.
