This project holds a special place in our hearts, as it involves redesigning a home filled with personal history and new beginnings. Located in Encinitas, California, this was the childhood home of our client, who, after her mother's passing, decided to purchase and move back with her family from Chicago. The challenge was to transform this beloved space into a home that would work for their growing family while honoring its legacy.

We completely reimagined the home with a new space plan, creating a balance between communal areas for the family to gather and private niches where everyone could retreat. The redesigned layout included a larger, more functional kitchen, a cozy nook area, and indoor/outdoor living spaces that flow seamlessly. Upstairs, the bedrooms were optimized for comfort and function, while playful wallpapers added a casual, inviting vibe that matched the family’s relaxed lifestyle.

This full gut remodel and redesign gave the home a fresh start, bringing together a new generation to create lasting memories and carry forward its rich history. Park Dale is a beautiful example of how thoughtful design can breathe new life into a home, while still preserving the heart and soul of its past.
